Digital Download & Licence Policy

Last updated: 11 September 2026

This policy explains how digital files purchased from The Brain Art may be downloaded and used. The specific product page and any written licence supplied with a product take priority if they grant different rights.

1. Delivery

Digital files are made available after successful payment through the order-confirmation page, your account where applicable, and/or an email link. Keep your order email and download a secure backup within any stated access period.

2. Default personal-use licence

Unless the product page expressly states otherwise, one purchase grants the named buyer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to download and use the product for personal, non-commercial purposes.

3. What personal use allows

  • reading or viewing the product on devices you personally control;
  • making a reasonable personal backup; and
  • printing a copy for your own private use where the product is designed to be printable.

4. What is not allowed

You may not resell, redistribute, forward, share, upload, publish, sublicense or give the digital file to another person; include it in another product; use it for client work, advertising, merchandise or other commercial activity; remove copyright or licence notices; or claim the work as your own.

5. Commercial and special licences

Commercial use is allowed only where the product page expressly includes a commercial licence or where we agree to written terms. Shared-commercial, exclusive and full-rights arrangements apply only to the particular work and scope described in writing. Buying a personal-use product does not transfer copyright.

6. Technical requirements

You are responsible for having compatible software and equipment for the file type stated on the product page. PDF products normally require a current PDF reader. Colours and print results may vary by screen, printer, paper and settings.

7. Access problems

If your download link is missing, expired or not working, email info@thebrainart.co.za with your order number and purchasing email address. We may verify the order before restoring access.

8. Infringement

Unauthorised copying or distribution may result in termination of the licence and legal action. Please contact us if you believe a product infringes your rights.
